Before I began photographing weddings and other special events I spent most of my time writing and taking photos for magazines, newspapers and books. The subjects I covered included photography, photographers, travel, adventure sports and advertising. All this experience – perhaps surprisingly – helped enormously in the way I handle wedding photography. Whether photographing shy people or fast-moving events, I aim to capture the atmosphere in a striking sequence of pictures.
